I woke up with a (to me) brilliant idea.
I have been testing Bahai Websites since 2022. And I have been doing this more-or-less regularly on an annual basis. Somehow I am a lazy nit-picker, which few appreciate. That’s ok. I have been sometimes loud about wanting to make more Bahai Websites and to make them better. No one seemed to be listening.
One isolated U.S. believer living in China reported me. He complained on Facebook Messenger, then banned me, then un-banned me to complain some more, then banned me again. Then he told some lies to the Auxilliary Board for Protection.
That was a very interesting visit. I was socializing with the local community after feast. I saw a couple young men I hadn’t seen before. One had been to Haifa. When I turned around the other one put his nose in my face and asked “What have you got going on here?”
Usually I can be snarky with a remark like that. Fortunately this time, I wasn’t . In fact, it took me by surprise, and I mumbled about making a proposal for Haifa. The meeting was over in less than ten seconds. Nine, probably.
I have to say that this Beloved Faith is well protected. He immediately could see I wasn’t any threat. It’s also good to realize that someone made the trip to investigate the accusation. There are other things I could say.
The other thing is I want to get back to my realization on waking.
I have turned my efforts away from making Bahai Websites. (For the record, I didn’t email all of the NSAs asking to build websites, as was apparently implied.) The few NSAs I did contact, said they had already had someone working on a website. One year later, they still don’t have anything published. One NSA refused the offer of a free site as a service project.
So I had turned to another flavor. Making a gallery of websites for my local community.
Since websites require maintenance and marketing, most people use social media. They are also free (with ads). But, in their defense, that is where people gather.
The project is going well and I am close to launching next month. The idea is that when people visit the website for one reason, they will find other websites. If I make a mini website for each business, and especially the ones without a storefront location, the more business they will all have.
The dream this morning, is a searchable directory for Bahai Websites.
